Aly & AJ’s interview with Clevver that they did a couple weeks ago to promote Hothouse is finally online. In the video they mention Hothouse will be released ‘tomorrow’ — which is wrong, it’ll be out on 7/8. They obviously intended to put it online this Sunday, but chose to post it early. Hothouse will be available on iTunes on Monday, July 8th! Check out the interview below:

Aly & AJ performed their first live show in 5 years last night as 78Violet at The Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles. They performed 8 Hours, Boy, 53rd Floor, Hole in the Earth, Heart, Take A Picture (Filter cover), Hothouse, and Potential Breakup Song. They sounded great and I love what I’ve heard so far!! I can’t wait to hear the studio versions and the rest of the album! The girls looked beautiful and looked like they had a great time! Pictures from it will be up soon.

Aly & AJ are officially in their twenties, and to completely say goodbye to their teen-pop-star days, they’ve got a new name: 78Violet. And with the release of their new single, “Hothouse,” on the horizon, the two tell MTV News they are looking forward to re-introducing themselves to the world in a whole new way.
