Exclusive: “Breaking In’s” Heathers Homage Casts Entourage, Hellcats Alums

Congrats Aly!  Can’t wait to watch it!!

Greetings and salutations are in order for Entourage‘s Perrey Reeves and Hellcats alum Aly Michalka, who have been cast in Breaking In‘s upcoming tribute to Heathers, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

As TVGuide.com previously reported, Veronica (Megan Mullally) will get a visit from her rival and one of the heads of OCP, Heather O. (Reeves). Heather O. says she’s at Contra to make a corporate video, but she’s really there to humiliate Veronica, natch. Michalka will play Heather O.’s assistant, Heather Y., who has her eyes on Cam (Bret Harrison). As previously announced, skater Tony Hawk will also guest-star in the episode, aptly titled “Heathers.”

For those not in the know — or those who had a brain tumor for breakfast — the 1989 dark high school comedy Heathers is about a popular, witty teen named Veronica (Winona Ryder) who decides to destroy the clique-y mean girls at her high school, the Heathers, with the help of her rebellious new boyfriend James Dean (Breaking In star Christian Slater).

Since playing Mrs. Ari on Entourage for eight seasons, Reeves most recently guest-starred as Tony’s ex on NCIS. Aside from starring on the short-lived Hellcats, Michalka appeared on CSI: NY last year and is one-half of the pop music duo 78violet (formerly Aly &AJ).

Breaking In airs Tuesdays at 9:30/8:30c on Fox.

Are you, like, totally stoked for this Heathers homage?

Aly Michalka Exits Fox Comedy Pilot ‘Rebounding’ As Role Is Reconceived

Unfortunately, Aly is no longer apart of “Rebounding”. You can read the article below.

EXCLUSIVE: Hellcats star Aly Michalka has departed Fox’s single-camera comedy pilot Rebounding after her character has been reworked post-table read. The 20th TV project, written/executive produced by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, executive produced by Steve Levitan and directed by Jason Winer, is an uplifting comedy about Danny (Will Forte), a man recovering from the death of his fiancé with the help of the idiots on his pickup basketball team. Michalka was cast as Taryn, the smoking-hot younger girlfriend of one of Danny’s friends, Dave, played by Hayes MacArthur. The Taryn character has now been reconceived, with the revamp including aging her up by a decade to Dave’s age. This is the third comedy pilot where recasting was done when characters were reworked after the table read, following similar moves on CBS’ Partners and ABC’s Mandy Moore project.

New Project: “Wither”

Prospect Park, Violet House land feature rights to dystopian tale
Lauren DeStefano’s dystopian sci-fi fantasy “Wither” is headed for the bigscreen, as Prospect Park and Violet House Prods. have acquired feature rights to the first book in a planned trilogy.

Producers are Jeff Kwatinetz and Rob Carliner through their Prospect Park banner and Aly and AJ Michalka via their Violet House shingle.

“Wither,” the first of three novels in first-time writer DeStefano’s “The Chemical Garden” trilogy, was released in March by Simon & Shuster and topped the Barnes & Noble and Publishers Weekly’s young adult bestseller lists.

Story is set in a future where the world’s in a state of panic due to a failed effort to create a perfect race that’s left women with a lifespan of 20 years while men die at 25.

The book series follows a kidnapped girl and her attempt to escape from a forced polygamous marriage designed to keep the population from dying out. The second book, “Fever,” is due out next year.

Prospect Park was a producer with Scott Free on “Unstoppable.”

DeStefano is repped by APA and the Irene Goodman Literary Agency.
